1. Bob Cook opened the meeting and asked if there was any old news to discuss.

Bob also mentioned the Harold W4BAD will be the speaker at the next Club Meeting.

2. Dave Warwick mentioned that the PACE plan (Emergency Communications) for DFMA is almost finished and will be submitted for review.

3. Dan Eddleman talked about the cost of the website domain name $22.43 and Hosting server $20.00 per month and suggested that we up the plan to include 5 e-mail boxes.

This increase was voted on and approved by the Board.

4. Bill Berzinskas talked about updating the database.

5. Matthew Stafford suggested starting a Club “loaner” program to let new or potential members checkout (borrow) radios and equipment for a limited amount of time.

6. Charle Durst talked about:

a) Suggested that the Club purchase a $500 a year maintenance contract for the backup generator at Hillsborough for the 147.225 repeater. This was voted on and approved by the Board.

b) Suggested that the Club discontinue paying for the phone lines ($35 & $40) per month that were used for the Auto Patch. This was voted on and approved by the Board.

c) Charlie is investigating a Star Link account ($5 to $10.00 per mo) for the Club.

d) There is a Club storage shed on Hover Road, Durham that needs to be cleaned out.

Many items may be trash, but it needs to be cleaned out. The Club also needs to find a climate controlled area to store, repair and test donated equipment.

e) Charlie is working on installing a Mesh Repeater on a tower in Durham.

Should be operational in a couple of weeks.

f) There is a Safety Deposit Box in Bank of America that nobody has the key to. So the Club should have it opened so see what is in it, (estimated cost of $300.00) and possibly close the account. Does the club need a Safety Deposit Box?

g) Club membership is dropping, so we need to try to recruit new members. Charlie suggested the club members should bring a friend or old member to the club meetings to renew interest in the club. Dave Warwick suggested that the Club advertise “who we are and what we do” in any City or County Websites or papers that allow free advertising to non profit organizations.

Meeting ended at 20:23.
