1. Bob Cook opened the meeting and asked if there was any old news to discuss.
Old Topics:
2. Dave Warwick mentioned that the PACE plan (Emergency Communications) for DFMA is finished, will be discussed at the next Club Meeting and possibly voted on for approval.
3. Charlie Durst is working on;
a) maintenance contract for the repeater generator in Hillsborough.
b) researching the feasibility of having a club Star Link account.
c) disconnecting the old phone lines that were in place for auto-patch so the Club does not have to keep paying the monthly fee.
d) the mesh repeater is in stalled and working fine.
4. Bob Cook said the safety deposit box has not been opened and he will contact Tom Beckett (Treasurer) and possibly set up a date to go to the bank and have it opened.
New Topics:
5. Charlie Durst suggested the Club support the Boy Scout Jamboree-On-The-Air (JOTA) 16 & 17 Oct held at Westminster Presbyterean Church in Durham.
He will bring it up at the next Club meeting and ask for volunteers.
6. Paul Robertson talked about the difficulty of getting Clint Stone access to the Groups IO site so he can receive club e-mails. Dave Snyder has been notified but there still seems to be a problem with getting access. It was suggested that Paul ask Clint to come to the next meeting so they can meet and fix the access issue.
Also, the topic of assigning someone to monitor the Group IO e-mails and respond to any questions asked, instead of hoping that someone else will respond and the person never receives any response was raised. Again, at the next meeting we could ask for a volunteer to actively monitor the Groups IO and if anyone asks a question respond to it.
7. Dave Warwick suggested we add newer photos and a small report up about each years Field Day to the Web Site.
8. Charlie Durst said he sent the amplifier for the 220 repeater in for repair. So there might be a bill for that repair in the near future.
