Hello, I am JR (kg4nnt) of Durham with a radio for trade .

It is a yaesu FT-8800R dual band mobile like new in box , with
manual, dtmf hand mic and power cord. I want to trade it for
older h f transceiver (with man.,mic, & power cord). A radio
like kenwood TS- 520 w/ tube finals or older solid state rig of
kenwood or icom or yaesu.
Also I would sell it for $300 cash or money order,  triangle
area pick up only. Ph. no. is 919-381-6088.
Thanks so much,

I am getting desperate and sending this message to all the Ham
Clubs I can find on the Net.  If I find one that will respond, I
will let all the other know I had a little luck... Many thanks.

Sirs.  I am a very old retired Ham.  I am trying to start a New Ham
Class in my area.  I need some things that your club just may hve.
I want to teach antenna Theory first and I need an old MaxCom
antenna matcher either for sale, Give away, Borrow to show my
class and demonstrate its charictistice.  Yes I do know all about
the MaxCom and its bad rep.  But teaching the bad along with
the good is still teaching and learning.   If any one of you people
does have an Old MaxCom Antenna matcher around, I sure
would like to have it.  I will return if borrowed.   If selling, please
keep it with in my budget. I will gladly make a donation to
Your Radio Club.   Many thanks and cheers.   73

Looking for small tower Print E-mail
Written by email DFMA.org
Saturday, 28 February 2009 00:00

Hi Folks,

I live in the Apex area and I am looking for a tower that I can use to place my weather equipment on.  I am not a HAM, but I am an engineer and I figured that you folks are the most knowledgeable about various towers, costs, etc.   I need something about 20 feet tall.  The weight and wind loading of the weather gear is low.  The total weight is about 5-10 pounds and the largest component subject to wind loading is the  8 in diameter cylindrical rain collection bucket.

All help would be appreciated.  Thanks and best regards,

Russ Bell, P.E.

I have a Kenwood TS 530 s.  It has never been cleaned or looked at in many years.  Are there any Hams around who knows anything about this model?
